~Release Day Blitz~ Wanted by You by Heather C. Myers

Title: Wanted by You
Author: Heather C. Myers
Genre: Sweet Western Romance
Hosted by: Lady Amber’s PR

Blurb:
Scott Lucas swore he would never fall in love, especially not with the woman he was currently holding for ransom. But in all honesty, he was halfway there and she made up the difference.

Riley Ledger has more spirit than a Ouija Board and more stubbornness than an ox.  She can hold her own in a fight and can drink anyone under the table.  Her mother's dead, her sister loves her but is ashamed of her, and her father - the sheriff - wants to marry her off to any man that will take her.

Enter Reese Hemingway: attractive, rich, and everything Riley hates in the male species.

When she's saved from a slap by wanted criminal Scott Lucas, she's more than a little intrigued.  He's dirty, dangerous, and mean - unlike any other man she's met before.  That's only emphasized by the point he decides to take her hostage.  She vows to hate him more than she's hated anything or anyone before.

It's a good thing she's not a betting woman.

Full disclosure: I am an acquired taste. I'm a typical blonde Orange County suburbanite who says 'like' more than necessary, laughs loud and probably obnoxiously, and loves to dance in the rain. I'm a 26 year old college graduate with more than a few tricks up my sleeve, and I also happen to be a pretty big Ducks fan. Oh, and I'm a writer. Like, for real.

I recently signed with Anchor Group Publishing, which will see two of my series being published this year. I've self-published over 15 books, with more on the way, so I'm familiar with both a hybrid-traditional publishing method as well as self-publishing.

I don't speak in third person (normally) nor do I wear glasses (except when I'm feeling particularly mischievous). I'm lucky to have found my soul mate at the ripe old age of 22, even though he frustrates me on purpose to get a reaction out of me. We live near Disneyland, have two rambunctious female puppies, and have a beautiful baby girl. He has two amazing boys, and has gotten me hooked on Smallville, watching soccer (okay, okay FOOTBALL - FC Barcelona, baby!), and Cancun Juice.

She stood facing him now, breath rasping in and out of her lungs, skin sheened in sweat, but she would not back down. Crouched, knife held confidently in hand, she watched him. He was motionless before her, eerily so, but then she’d gotten used to that, it was a weird vampire thing. Her eyes scoured for his tell, a twitch or a blink that gave him away. There! That blink meant he was about to pounce. Just as he began to move she cut him off, leaping out of the way and slicing with the blade at the same time. The knife left a trail of red across his stomach and he looked down in surprise. She’d nailed him. His eyes narrowed dangerously and he mimicked her crouch. It was on like Donkey Kong. He pounced, she lunged and the dance continued movements fast and fluid until suddenly he was on top of her and white-hot pain shot through her abdomen. Her hands clutched at her stomach and she felt wet stickiness ooze through her fingers.

“Ah fuck,” Kyan cursed, springing up from her. They both looked to where the knife was protruding from her stomach, the scent of her blood filling the air.

~Book Blitz~ In Time For You by Chris Karlson

Back cover blurb for In Time For YouWhile horseback riding in the English countryside, sisters, Electra and Emily Crippen find themselves trapped in a tear in time. Thrown back to 1357 England and caught by a local noble, they are in a place that is home but as frightening and unfamiliar as an alien world would be. With no idea how the tear in time came about, the one thing they do know is: they must stay together and stay near to where the event took place in hopes of discovering the way back to their modern life. That certain need to stay together is the first certainty taken from them when one sister is forced to remain in England and one is sent miles away to Wales by royal order. There is one other hope for help the sisters don’t know exists. It’s Electra’s lover, Roger Marchand. A time traveler himself, he never told her of his past. When he realizes what has happened to the sisters, he enlists the help of a scientist friend to help him open the suspected passageway through time. Any effort to save Electra and Emily will likely cost him his life. This was the time Roger came from, a time when his country, France, was at war with England. If he is discovered on English soil while searching for the sisters, he will either be killed or taken prisoner of war. Any risk is worth saving the life of the woman he loves.

While she ate, the button on Electra's sleeve fell out of the frog loop. She didn't hook the button again, reaching for her wine instead. The sleeve pulled back from her wrist to expose her watch, which she hadn't thought to remove."What is that?" Simon asked and pointed to her Seiko."A watch." What a bizarre question. There wasn't a corner of the planet that people didn't recognize a wristwatch.A frown slowly formed and he stretched across Emily and took hold of Electra's hand to tug it toward him for a better look. He turned her hand over and in a matter of seconds had the clasp undone. He brought the candle in front of his trencher closer and held the watch under it. "What do the numbers mean?""It's a clock, a miniature timepiece you wear on your wrist."From his expression, the explanation puzzled him. "Do they not have candle clocks in this Greenland you claim you're from?"How to explain the abundance of various clocks to a man who apparently has no context for the anything beyond a candle clock or similar ancient means of telling time?"Are you saying you've never seen a clock?" Emily asked."One like this? No, I have not."Emily bent her head nearer Electra and whispered, "Are you thinking what I am?""Sadly, yes."Simon ran his finger over the watch face. "These small digits, what is their meaning?""It's the date and year: 5.14.15."He shook his head. "What year is 15?""2015, of course.""You are mad. It's the year of our Lord, 1357.""What year were you born?""1327, why?"Electra didn't care for the speed which Simon answered. She held onto the small hope this was some odd reality show and that he'd stumble or hesitate before coming up with a year. "No reason, I was just curious." She turned to Richard who'd been chatting with the serving girl. She tapped his arm. Getting his attention she asked, "Richard, what year is this?"He tipped his head like a dog hearing a strange noise. She assumed he too thought her mad for asking. "1357. Do you measure your years differently in your native country?""Yes, it's a different time there." A different world. She looked over at Emily, who'd been listening. The color had drained from her face. For both their sakes, Electra fought to keep from falling apart in front of the whole room. She failed and began to tremble uncontrollably. She balled her hands into fists and turned from Simon to Richard. "I need to go outside. I feel sick.""I'd like to go too," Emily told Simon.
"I'll go as well." He smiled. "Just to make certain nothing untoward befalls you."

"You're late," is the first thing
my sister says to me when she opens the door. Not “hello” or “I was worried,”
but always cutting to the chase.
“Yeah, I, um, forgot the cupcakes.” Or
rather, I ate the cupcakes and had to stop by the bakery for more. I should’ve
learned that lesson by now—always buy double—but I haven’t and most likely
never will.
“Well, come in. Rob’s already here.”
“Rob?”
She seizes the cupcake box and leads me up
the hallway. “Jack’s friend. Hope you don’t mind; we invited him too.”
“Oh, okay.” I backtrack, tugging the bakery
box from her grasp. “This’s a setup, isn’t it?” To Cordelia, the fact I’m
twenty-five and unmarried equals her trying to find me a nice man to be with.
She never liked Martin, and it’s been exactly seven days since I dropkicked him
out of my life.
“Don’t be ridiculous. He’s married. And a
Christian.” Slinging an arm over my shoulders as she tows me through the house,
she adds, “He is handsome though. Don’t tell Jack I said that.” And as we step
out onto the rear veranda, she says, “Look who’s here!”
Jack’s lips quirk into a grin; arms coil
around my shoulders. “You ate the cupcakes again, didn’t you?” he whispers in
my ear.
My brother-in-law knows me too well.
The honey-eyed man at the end of the table is
staring at me. Do I have frosting on my face? After a moment, Jack leads me
over to him.
“This is the famous Becky,” he says.
“I’m famous?”
Rob smiles and offers me his hand. “Pleasure
to meet you.”
His voice sends tingles to my lady bits. I
want to lick that smile and kiss those lips.
He’s married. Hmph. My freaking luck.
“Lovely to meet you, too. I’ve heard nothing
about you.” I slide my fingers across his palm and he gives them a quick
squeeze.
“He’s a lawyer,” Cordy says, as if that
explains it all. “Wine?”
“Sure.” I take the seat adjacent to Rob as
she trots into the kitchen. “Lawyer, huh?” My eyes skirt all six-foot one-inch
of him, over the crisp white button-down shirt and gray trousers. I’d love to
take a peek under the suit.
“Yeah. My brothers and I own Gibbs Legal and
Financial Group.”
“Ooh, I bet you’re loaded.”
A snicker. “I guess I am.” He flashes me a
boyish smile. “So, since we’re talking paychecks…”
I sigh. “Why would I want money when I can have
cheesecake?”
He regards me curiously.
“What?”
“I find you fascinating.”

“Really?”
